Lake Winter Couples Session || Kenny & Leann

You might remember these two from my very first family session! Kenny and Leann hit me up for a winter session when Christmas card season hit. It was perfect timing, because the lake hadn’t completely thawed from a recent freeze. We even found a frozen waterfall! The only problem with that was that the waterfall was down among slippery rocks and ice and chilly water. That didn’t keep these two from trekking down to get some of my FAVORITE shots.

I really enjoyed this session (I definitely lost track of time), and I enjoyed the results of the shoot even more. Kenny and Leann really created some timeless images, even in 50-degree temperatures beside a frozen lake.

And of course…the most beautiful dog in the world. How can I not mention their puppy Aria? Not only was she adorable, she was basically the most well-behaved, photogenic dog I’ve ever encountered! I’m pretty sure she’s meant to be a model. But enough about her, her owners are pretty dang adorable too! Perhaps modeling should be their family business?

It seems like we are having a cold snap even though spring starts on Monday! Never fear; I’m confident that spring will be even more beautiful because of it. Flowers are already starting to peek out. That means if you have been considering scheduling a session, now is a great time to do it!
