Wedding Getting Ready Portraits || McEwen

Just a hair over a year ago, one of my dearest childhood friends got married! I got to have the pleasure of taking a few getting ready / pre-game photos the morning of the wedding, and even a year later, it still makes my heart feel all warm.

Since COVID and semi-self-isolation has depleted a good amount of my usual work, I’m going to be blogging through some of my favorite works from the past year (AKA like nearly all of them, if we’re being honest.)

Some highlights from the wedding of Ellen and Shaun:

1) Centerpieces that reflected their personalities and loves. Books, video game controllers, and fall leaves and florals–bright and unique, just like the bride and groom.

2) The Scottish theme throughout! There were kilts, there were swords, and there were bagpipes. I mean, when was the last time you went to a wedding with bagpipes? I hope it was recently because it’s awesome.

3) Getting to watch Ellen marry a man that looked head-over-heels in love with her. It is one of the greatest things to see people that you love be loved so wonderfully. The two of them looked like the happiest kids in the playground all day, and I’m so glad I got to be there to witness it happen!

Hope you enjoy a bit of nostalgia with me as I continue through this series! I’m enjoying all the memories that flood back with all the pictures I am getting to go through!
