Cool Winter Senior Session || Garrett 2020
Who says you can’t take photos in the winter? Not me! Now, January may not be the warmest month, but it has its moments, and last year we found the perfect day to sneak a senior session with Garrett in!
When it comes to seniors, I always like to work with whatever vibe they want to create. What Garrett wanted was some yard flamingos photos. Of course I’m going to say yes to that! A little photoshop brought us a whole hoard of flamingos. If I had to label the rest of Garrett’s shoot it would be “personality shots.” I knew Garrett when he was just a wee lil kid (sorry, bud) and there’s one thing he’s always had, and that’s personality!
All that to say: no matter when you take them, or who takes your senior photos: do YOU! If you want to bring a giant stack of books because you’re an avid reader, or if you want to wear all blue because it’s your favorite color, or if you want to take a jumping picture (*cough that was me cough*), do it. Senior photos are about showing exactly who you are in the moment of one of the biggest transitions of your life. And I LOVE these sessions for exactly that reason. And I LOVE this session for exactly that reason too! It doesn’t matter if it’s spring, summer, fall, or winter – it’s gonna be awesome.
I’m going to be honest, I already can’t remember how cold this day was. Even if it was a little chilly, can you tell?
